Okay, okay, oh gosh— [This is exciting. Jake tries to slap the bubble wrap with his palm and manages to get a few to pop, making him laugh again.]

Sometimes Mabel and I get a full sheet, put it on the floor and see which one of us can roll enough to pop all the bubbles the fastest. You guys should try that some time.

What if we made armour out of bubble wrap and used it while sparring and wrestling!

That is a hilarious idea. [HE LOVES IT]

Woah. We've done that with foam, but I don't think we ever had enough bubble wrap for full armor. That's a great idea.

[potentite]

Excellent. We should do that soon. I need to get used to rough and tumble fun without my other leg.

[splinten]

We should pick up trainin', yes. [Jake needs to be able to kick butt in all situations, wheresoever possible.]

Oh, right. I forgot you guys had like. Actual combat abilities and stuff.

Oh, yes, we do, but... we also just wrestle and other playful things like that for fun quite often.

[Like he's on board for sparring training but he also is totally happy to roll around so.]

Yeah, Strifes are just a fun thing for us. Here, though, it's practical for us to have some self-defence capabilities.

[If only to make sure their attackers can be identified by bruises]

I have punched people over the summer? Would not recommend trying it on eldritch abominations though.

Punching wouldn't have done a lick of good. We tried. You need something stronger for those. We all alchemized much better weapons just to fight these blasted skeleton mooks, except Strider anyhoo.

The Unbreakable Katana did not need upgrading. It was perfect as it was.

Dirk is definitely an anime.

A real hard sword for a real hard dude. It was said to be forged by an ancient Otaku Master over the heat of a roaring manga fire. It was cooled in an enchanted spring where horses nicker and drink, and was said could be used only by one whose pointy anime shades were deemed sweet enough, and whose hair existed in a perpetually sculpted state of looking completely fucking awesome.

And yet, that is the most anime thing I have ever heard, and I once helped fight a Japanese dating simulator come to life.

Yeah, my friend Soos needed help with dating and picked up a cursed video game for practice. Regular Gravity Falls stuff. She was a bit too attached.

No, that was just normal Gravity Falls stuff. [err] Our parents sent Mabel and I to live with our great-uncle Stan for the summer in a little town in the middle of nowhere called Gravity Falls. It turns out it's kind of a... center? I guess? For weirdness and the supernatural.
